Problem:

Set doesn't come on --OR-- Comes on with abnormal patterns, with OSD, without "welcome" chime. Faint picture may be visible in the background. For a few minutes, in service mode the test patterns are good, then everything freeze up with lamp and fan running. After many attemps to shut it off it will, but without the "goodbye" chime.
